Welcome

This website has been developed to show how data released by councils and other public bodies can be made useful and accessible to the public and other stakeholders.

The data displayed in this demonstrator comes from Lambeth Council, the Department for Communities, and NHS sources. Data used has been chosen for its relevance to Lambeth’s Food Strategy.

The project has been funded by the Department for Communities and Local Government and the site has been developed by Boilerhouse Media Ltd.

The demonstrator is work-in-progress and has been released so that anyone interested can try it out and comment on what we have done. At this stage it has the following elements:

  • Map comparisons: these enable users to compare data on maps side-by-side or as maps with charts
  • Add my data: this tool allows users to drop a pin in the map and add associated data
  • Forums: for discussion and feedback

Access to the site

Anyone can view the site elements by using the menu at the top right of the site. If you want to try out the ‘Add my Data’ tool or add comments in the forums you will need to register on the site and log in.

You can also discuss the project on Twitter ()
